Currently, the folder functionality in AnyTracker serves its purpose but could be significantly improved for a more streamlined user experience. The existing layout, which presents folders as a list, lacks visual appeal and can appear cluttered.
I propose a redesign of the folder interface to enhance both aesthetics and usability. The new design could present folders as cards, similar to the dashboard layout. This would provide a more organized and visually pleasing overview of the folders.
Upon selecting a folder, the contents should be displayed in a layout akin to the default home screen view when the folder feature is off. This would ensure that each folder only displays items relevant to it, maintaining the same layout as the default view.
This proposed change would offer several benefits. Firstly, it would allow users to view updates or price changes for all items within a folder at a glance, eliminating the need to click on each item individually. This would significantly enhance the efficiency of tracking price changes.
Secondly, this change would enhance the overall aesthetic of the app. The current list view for folders seems inconsistent with the app's otherwise sleek design. By adopting a card-based layout for folders, the app's design would be more cohesive and visually appealing.
